a) People in rural and marginalised areas will have access to affordable glasses.
- Increased practitioner-patient ratios for widespread eye care service delivery in Mozambique and the rest of Lusophone Africa.
- Developing career paths and opportunities for training in eye care cadres in Africa. Previously, there has not been an opportunity for career progression from mid-level eye care personnel in the field of eye care. With the multiple entry and exit model, graduates from the diploma programme can re-enter the system mid-way to gain a degree qualification.
