Bequest

The contributions we make to the world take many forms during our lives. By making a bequest we can bestow a lasting legacy.

A bequest is a gift left to an organisation by an individual in their Will. By leaving a bequest to the International Centre for Eyecare Education (ICEE), you can make a contribution that endures.
A bequest can take the form of cash, shares, property or other assets.

Your Will is one of the most important documents that you will ever prepare. It ensures that the people and organisations that you care about are provided for after your death. In preparing your Will, your first concern will no doubt be for your family and others close to you. After providing for the financial security of your loved ones, you may like to consider including a bequest to ICEE.

Why should you leave a gift to ICEE in your Will?

ICEE is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to giving sight to more than 300 million people worldwide who are suffering from avoidable blindness and vision impairment due to uncorrected refractive error – correctable with an eye examination and a pair of glasses. By remembering ICEE in your Will you will be helping to give sight to millions of people in need.

Your ultimate commitment may be directed to specific use; a particular country, region or programme.
Unspecified funds are directed to the area of greatest immediate need.

If you choose to leave a gift to ICEE, your gift will have an enormous impact on the lives of others.  The gift of sight helps people:

  • Improve their quality of life
  • Maintain their independence
  • Learn to read
  • Play games and sports with their friends
  • Interact with friends
  • Watch their children grow
  • Work safely
  • Go the market to buy fresh foods
  • Cook for their family
  • Safely and independently get around their village

Things that we may take for granted.
